Olivia Thirlby has joined the cast of the Screen Gems and Miramax comedy The Wedding Ringer that has begun shooting in Los Angeles. Separately, Feed The Gods starts production on Friday in Canada for Random Bench.

Kevin Hart, Josh Gad and Kaley Cuoco star in The Wedding Ringer. Affion Crockett has also come on board along with Jorge Garcia, Dan Gill, Corey Holcomb, Ken Howard, Colin Kane, Cloris Leachman, Jenifer Lewis, Alan Ritchson, Mimi Rogers, Ignacio Serricchio, Aaron Takahashi and Nicky Whelan.

Jeremy Garelick directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jay Lavender about a man who provides best man services for socially awkward grooms. The script was developed at Miramax.

Miramax’s Adam Fields and Will Packer produce and Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper oversees for that studio.

  • LA and Vancouver-based Random Bench will commence production on Friday (September 13) in Yarrow, British Columbia, on the Bigfoot adventure Feed The Gods. Shawn Roberts, Tyler Johnston, Emily Tennant and Brit Irvin will star and Braden Croft directs.
