John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells and Mike Smith have signed on to star in a third Trailer Park Boys [pictured] film, which Alliance will distribute in Canada as it has done on the previous instalments.
The key cast will reunite with director Mike Clattenburg and production is scheduled to begin in March 2013.
Clattenburg devised the mockumentary property, which started life as a short film starring Tremblay and Wells as hapless trailer park residents.
The first full-length film Trailer Park Boys: The Movie opened theatrically in 2007 and follow-up Trailer Park Boys: Countdown To Liquor Day arrived two years later.
“We are all extremely pleased to be working together again on another Trailer Park Boys film,” said producer Barrie Dunn. “Although it’s been four years since our last film, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles are as popular as ever, even expanding internationally, and we’re delighted to bring them back to the big screen.”
“We’ve had incredible support from fans worldwide,” said Wells. “I love playing Ricky and we’re all excited to play the Trailer Park Boys again on screen with the amazing cast and crew.”
