Film will shoot in UK and Morocco.
UK-based director Vicky Jewson is gearing up to start shooting her new feature Born of War on Oct 3, in the UK and Morocco.
Jewson Film Productions has now completed financing for the project.
The action thriller is about a misfit Oxford University student whose life is turned upside down when she discovers the militant roots of her parents. She has to survive in a world of British spies, terrorists and corporate espionage.
Jewson previously directed the feature Lady Godiva, which was released in 2008 [she had worked on the film starting at age 18]. Jewson won the Arts Media and Culture Woman of the Future Award in 2006 and was nominated for Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Rupert Whitaker, who also worked on Lady Godiva, produces. Rough Diamond Productions’ Julia Verdin (Stander, The Merchant of Venice) will serve as executive producer.
Gaby Kester (Breaking and Entering, StreetDance 2) will serve as casting director and will start casting sessions next week in London.
