The 11th Pusan Promotion Plan (PPP) has announcedthe official line-up for this year's projects market - 30 projects from 17 countries selected from 200 submissions. The line-up includes work from China's Zhang Yuan, Japan's Sabu and Chinese-Korean filmmaker Zhang Lu.

Of note, Lee Chang-dong (Secret Sunshine) will not only be presenting his fifth feature film project to direct, but will also be co-producing A Brand New Life (working title) by Ounie Lecomte with whom he partnered on the script. The project is already set to be co-produced by Korea's Now Films and Gloria Films of France.

Japanese director Sabu will be at PPP with Arrested Memories, being produced by Korea's Suh Young-joo and her company Finecut. Well-known Chinese director Jia Zhang Ke will be producing A Long Afternoon Nap by Chen Tao, who had a short in Cinefondation.

One of China's leading sixth generation directors, Zhang Yuan will bring Executioner Garden, a film set in 1930s Shanghai. Lee Sang-il from Japan will be bringing his script adaptation of Murakami Ryu's best-selling novel Leaving The Peninsula Behind.

Renowned Taiwanese director Chang Tso-chi with his latest project How Are You, Dad', an omnibus portraying 12 different fathers in present-day Taiwan.

Malaysia's best known female director Yasmin Ahmad is working on Forget-Me-Not, her sixth feature film, to be made in cooperation with Japanese producers.

Choi Dong-hoon, whose card shark drama Tazza: The High Rollers made a big hit, has a new big-budget project Jeon Woo Chi, starring popular faces Kang Dong-won and Lim Soo-jung. Jung Bum-shik, who made an impressive debut with the horror film Epitaph, will be at PPP with his new project Eugenia.

This year the PPP will see its events based at the Paradise Hotel on Haeundae beach, setting up individual meetings and networking opportunities for the projects' filmmakers.

Since the inception of the Asian Film Market in 2006, PPP has expanded within the Market's scope to include projects from non-Asian countries as well as projects with more a more commercial slant, as opposed to the low-budget arthouse fare of the past.

The PPP and Asian Film Market will run Oct 3-6, during the Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) Oct 2-10.
