Premiere Entertainment Group (PEG) has struck a raft of major territory deals on EFM sales title Blowback starring former UFC champion Randy Couture from the Expendables franchise and Twilight franchise regular Cam Gigandet.
The action thriller sees Nick (Gigandet) revenge out for after he is betrayed and left for dead by Jack (Couture) and his crew during a Las Vegas heist. Louis Mandylor, Michele Plaia, Rafael Cabrera, and William McNamara round out the key cast.
Los Angeles-based sales, production and financing outfit PEG has closed deals with Rialto in Australia, Dolphin Medien in Germany, California Filmes in Latin America, Eagle Pictures in Italy, Eagle Films for Middle East, and Premiere TV in Benelux.
Rights have also gone to Media Squad for Poland, NOS for Portugal, DD Dream for China, Bluelabel Pictures for South Korea, Horizon Film for Malaysia, Crystalsky for Philippines, and Multivisionnaire for Taiwan.
Tibor Takács directed Blowback from a screenplay by Kevin Yarris, Robert Edward Thomas, Matthew Eason, and Robert Giardina. Elias Axume produced for PEG, which handles worldwide sales, with Al Bravo.
PEG’s Carlos Rincon served as executive producer alongside MC Films’ Michael Brown and Chris Maher, David Coppa, ITN Films’ Stuart Alson and Nicole Holland, and George Chung. Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor are also on board as executive producers for BondIt Media Capital, who provided financing. The film is in post.
PEG recently announced sales on Mickey Rourke thriller Commando and is in pre-production on Shrapnel, which will be the company’s tenth original production since 2019.
