RealD and Saga Luxury Cinema Management announced on Monday [Aug 29] an agreement to equip 100 auditoriums across the Saga circuit in China with RealD 3D technology.
Saga also plans to open 20 theatres around the county within the next three years, all of which will be equipped with RealD 3D systems.
“China is a cinema market presenting a growing opportunity to introduce audiences to RealD’s premium 3D entertainment experience,” RealD general manager of Greater China Edman Chan said.
“Providing the highest quality viewing experience to our audiences is one of the most important operating philosophies of SAGA,” Beijing SAGA Luxury Cinema Management’s director of project investments Li Dong said.
“SAGA will exclusively use RealD 3D equipment in all of our cinemas to ensure our audiences can enjoy the most compelling 3D images on every one of our screens.”
