The licensor of 3D technologies will equip 100 screens across the chain’s theatres.

Womei Theater Chain currently operates four sites with 33 auditoriums in China and expects to open an eight-screen venue in Chongqing any day now.

Over the next five years, the company plans to open a total of 200 cinemas totaling 1000 screens, with an aim of reaching the top-five in box office among all movie theater chains in China.

RealD 3D is currently available on approximately 850 screens in China and has committed to more than 1,200 installations.
