'As MGM continues to build both its theatrical release slate and library of films, A Perfect Getaway is the kind of production we are looking for,' MGM COO Rick Sands said. 'We are pleased to be involved in what we believe is a film that will entertain audiences in theatres and beyond.'
'This movie really plays to David's strengths as a director and Tim is an immensely talented actor,' Kavanaugh and Tooley added. 'The combination of the two of them and a great script gives us confidence that we will make both an entertaining and compelling film.'
MGM's executive vice president of business affairs negotiated the deal with ICM and Relativity's executive vice president of business affairs Aaron Michiel.
