Vertigo’s Allan Niblo combines his passion for extreme sports with his skill for film-making to judge Relentless Energy Drink’s short film competition, now in its second year.
For producer Allan Niblo, judging Relentless Energy Drink’s short film competition is proving to be something of a joy.
The theme of this year’s competition is “Focus” and with that in mind 8 budding film-makers (whittled down from 30) were given £4500 to go away and make a short film. This year’s entries cover surfing to rock to motorsports. The winning film-maker will go on to receive £10,000 towards developing further film projects.
“I was Scottish skateboard champion back in the day, so extreme sports + film-making = a great afternoon,” the Vertigo producer told Screen whilst he mingled with the 8 finalists at the Soho Hotel in London.
The winner will be announced at the end of the year.
