WhY not combine AFM with The Toronto Film Festival to create The North American Film Market? The festival premieres are clearly missed at AFM, and the combining the two events would make them equal with Cannes and Berlin. AFM and Torono are less than 6 week part which is a lot to ask international buyers, producers and financiers to cross the Atlantic twice. Toronto has plenty of hotels and screening space as well as reasonable cost. The US agents all attend Toronto so there is no real benefit or the market to be in LA instead of Toronto.
