Revolver Entertainment has taken all UK rights to psychological thriller Legacy starring The Wire’s Idris Elba and Clarke Peteres.
The cast also features Eamonn Walker, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Richard Brake and Julian Wadham.
Elba stars as Malcolm Gray, a Black Ops soldier haunted by his own demons while holed up in a shabby Brooklyn motel after a failed mission in Eastern Europe. Walker plays Malcolm’s brother, an ambitious senator.
Thomas Ikimi wrote, directed and produced. The other producers are Arabella Page-Croft and Kieran Parker at Black Camel Pictures.
Executive producers are Amrit Walia and Elba.
The film is a Kaleidoscope Nigeria and Black Camel Pictures production in association with Myone Media and Deal Real Entertainment.
Andrew Herwitz, president of the Film Sales Company, negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers.
Revolver plans an early 2011 release.
