Seth Rogen, riding high on the success of this year's sleeper summer hit Knocked Up, will star for The Weinstein Company (TWC) and Dimension Films in Kevin Smith's Zack & Miri Make A Porno.
Elizabeth Banks, who along with Rogen appeared in The 40 Year Old Virgin, stars in the story of two platonic lifelong friends deeply in debt who enlist the help of their friends to make a porn movie for some quick cash.
As a carnal frenzy ensues, the pair realise they share deeper feelings for each other. Additional cast will be announced soon. Scott Mosier is producing and shooting is set to begin in January 2008 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
'Getting Seth in this flick is like suddenly growing an extra six inches in the crotch,' Smith said. 'And as if that wasn't awesome enough, we scored the comedically and aesthetically gifted Elizabeth, too. Cast-wise, I'm now extremely well-hung.'

TWC's co-head of production Michael Cole and senior vice president of production Carla Gardini will oversee the project for TWC and Dimension Films. Cole and executive vice president of business and legal affairs Eric Roth negotiated the deal.
