Roissy Films has concluded sales on Martin Provost's Seraphine; Arsenal Filmverleih take all rights in Germany, Austria and Switzerlandwith Austria goes to Filmladen releasing Seraphine in Austria and Xenix in Switzerland.
Other recent sales on the film, which is based on the life of painter Seraphine de Senlis, include Cineplex in Colombia and Folkets Bio in Sweden. Roissy says that US, Argentine and Japanese buyers are circling.
Among distributors who had previously acquired Seraphine are Metrodome in the UK, Rialto in Australia, Golem in Spain and Seville Pictures in Canada.
Starring Yolande Moreau and Ulrich Tukur, the film was released in France by Diaphana on October 1 and has thus far garnered nearly 500,000 admissions. It has also been shortlisted for the Louis Delluc prize.
