Roissy Films has acquiredSoeur Souriredirected by Stijn Coninx for international sales. Produced by Ocean Films’ Eric Heumann and Marc Sillam, the film will be released byOcean on April 29 in France.

Starring Cecile de France, Soeur Sourire is the true story of Jeannine Deckers a Belgian nun known in English as The Singing Nun. Deckers became an international phenomenon with a song she released in 1963, ‘Dominique.’

Coninx’s Daens was nominated for a best foreign language film Oscar in 1993. Soeur Sourire will have its market premiere in Cannes.
