Organisers for the International Rome Film Festival have expanded its expert commission for the fifth edition this autumn.
The International Rome Film Festival has expanded its commission of experts to advise on the official selection films for this year’s edition.
Journalist and documentary maker Claudio Masenza is leaving the Venice Film Festival selection committee after six years to join Rome as a consultant on American films. Jenny Scheubeck, who has 25 years’ experience in the film industry across distribution, marketing and PR including for the Cannes Film Festival, will join as a consultant for French and German films.
Meanwhile, Elena Pollacchi is joining Rome as a consultant on Asian films. Pollacchi teaches language and the history of Chinese cinema at L’Universita’ Ca Foscari in Venice.
The new team will work alongside artistic director Piera Detassis (pictured) and the festival’s existing expert commission, which includes:

Mario Sesti – Extra
Antonio Monda – co – curator (with Mario Sesti) for “Encounters with American cinema”
Fabia Bettini – selection committee for Official Selection films and Alice in the City
Alessandra De Luca and Fabrizio Grosoli – selection committee for Official Selection films and Extra
The 5th edition of the International Rome Film Festival runs October 28-November 5.
