Mickey Rourke and Josie Ho have joined Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Til Schweiger in the cast of Arclight Films’ action thriller The Courier which started shooting in Louisiana this week.
Written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, The Courier is being directed by Hany Abu-Assad, director of the Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe winning Paradise Now.
Hong Kong actress Ho was recently named best actress at the Sitges Film Festival in Catalonia for Pang Ho-cheung’s slasher film Dream Home.
The Courier revolves around an international carrier who delivers things to people who can’t, or don’t want, to be reached. Ho plays a woman with a mysterious past whom the courier meets.
The film is being produced by Gary Hamilton, Mike Gabrawy and Cary Brokaw. Vince Newman and Tucker Tooley also serve as producers. Jeffrey Dean Morgan will serve as executive producer along with Carsten Lorenz, Jason Hewitt, Michael Arata, John Calhoun and Butch Kaplan.
Arclight Films will handle all international sales.
