The Oscar winning producer of No Country For Old Men will collect the award at the annual PGA awards ceremony on January 22 in Los Angeles.
The David O Selznick Achievement Award in Motion Pictures recognises a producer’s “outstanding body of work in motion pictures” and has previously gone to the likes of Stanley Kramer, Saul Zaentz, Billy Wilder, Jerry Bruckheimer and Laura Ziskin.
PGA co-presidents Hawk Koch and Mark Gordon said Rudin had “impressively set a high bar for filmmaking.”
Rudin produced this season’s The Social Network and True Grit. Among his previous credits are No Country For Old Men, The Hours, School Of Rock, Notes On A Scandal and The Queen. Upcoming films include MoneyballAnd The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
