Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired US rights to (Untitled), a comic take on the state of contemporary art from director Jonathan Parker.
Adam Goldberg, reuniting with Samuel Goldwyn Films after the 2007 arthouse hit 2 Days In Paris, plays a brooding composer who embarks on an affair with Marley Shelton’s hip art gallery owner.
Eion Bailey, Vinnie Jones, Lucy Punch, Zak Orth, Ptolemy Slocum, Michael Panes, Svetlana Efremova, Janet Carroll and Ben Hammer round out the key ensemble.
Samuel Goldwyn Films has set a September 18 release for the film following its recent screening at the San Francisco International Film Festival.
Catherine di Napoli and Parker produced (Untitled) with Andreas Olavarria and previously collaborated on the 2001 office comedy Bartleby. Goldberg and Matt Luber served as executive producers.
Vice-president of acquisitions Peter Goldwyn negotiated the deal with Parker and di Napoli.
