Golem Distribucion has acquired the Spanish theatrical rights to Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-Eda's Still Walking (Aruitemo, Aruitemo).
The deal was done with Celluloid Dreams at the San Sebastian film festival. The film had its international premiere at Toronto.
Still Walking is a family drama about grown-up siblings returning to their family home to be with their elderly parents and to commemorate the death of the eldest son who drowned accidentally fifteen years before.
Karma Films has acquired Spanish theatrical rights from sales agent Match Factory to Yesim Ustaoglu's Pandora's Box, also an international premiere in competition at San Sebastian. The Turkish-French-German-Belgian co-production follows the travails of two forty-something siblings who return to their home country, Turkey, to find their mother who has gone missing.
