The San Sebastian Film Festival’s co-production forum has been boosted by two new strategic partnerships, with the Cannes Producers Network and Ventana Sur, Latin America’s biggest market.
The agreement with Cannes allows the producers selected for San Sebastian co-production forum to take part in the next edition of the Producers Network or the Producers Workshop.
Six producers from the European projects selected for the Forum will participate in Ventana Sur introducing their projects to the industry. Buenos Aires-based Ventana Sur is organized by the INCAA, Argentina’s cinema public organism, and Marché du Film.
The new San Sebastián Co-Production Forum Europe-Latin America will take place September 27 and 28. This Forum will be an opportunity for producers of both continents to meet and discuss new projects from the 20 selected.
Projects who want to participate must apply before June 30. They must have at least 20% of finance and have some link with Latin America.
The Co-production Forum in an initiative to enforce the business and market appeal of San Sebastián in the framework of the Industry Club.
The Forum is supported by the Basque Government Industry Department and has the collaboration of FAPAE, Ibermedia and the cinematography national institutes of Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
