The jury of the 14th Sarajevo Film Festival's short films competition will be comprised of Michael J. Werner, co-chairman of Fortissimo Films; Sejla Kamerlic, artist and filmmaker whose short film What Do I Know had premiere at last year's Venice Corto Cortissimo, and won the best short film award at the fifth Zagreb Film Festival; and Jay Jeon, selector of Pusan Film Festival.
After announced president of the jury Nuri Bilge Ceylan, and lecturers at the second Talent Campus Mike Leigh, Terry George, Branko Lustig and Slavoj Zizek, three more film-makers have confirmed their attendance at the Sarajevo Film Festival (Aug 15-23). The first is Jia Zhang-ke whose 24 City will open the Panorama programme.
Also, one of the greatest actors today Kevin Spacey will be the guest of the festival and will enjoy a special screening of Usual Suspects at the Heineken Open Air cinema which promises 3,000 spectators.
The only writer among 100 most powerful people in Hollywood Charlie Kaufman will be in Sarajevo and his directing debut Synecdoche, New York will also be a part of Panorama programme with yet another screening at the Heineken Open Air.
