Canada’s first 3D feature The Legend Of Sarila licensed internationally by Cinema Management Group and Germany’s Famous Five 2 bookend the 16th annual TIFF Kids International Film Festival, set to run in Toronto from Apr 9-21.
Overall the festival will screen 117 films – 29 features and 88 shorts – representing 40 countries.
Guests for 2013 include The Legend Of Sarila director Nancy Florence Savard and producer Marie-Claude Beauchamp.
Events include the festival’s first Sesame workshop, while the first Adult Jury will present two new awards for Best Live-Action Film and Best Animated Short Films.
The jurors are Member Of Parliament Olivia Chow, Disney Channels Worldwide’s Disney Branded Kids Programming (Canada) director Marina Di Pancrazio and animator Rob Silvestri.
