SBS Broadcasting in The Netherlands has signed an exclusive free TV deal with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM) for a package of titles including Quantum Of Solace,Valkyrie, Rocky Balboa, Lions For Lambs and Pink Panther 2.
The agreement was announced today by Rozan Hamaker, head of acquisitions for SBS Broadcasting, and Gary Marenzi, co-president of worldwide Television for MGM.
The deal also includes TV rights for an assortment of feature films from the MGM library like Legally Blonde, The Silence Of The Lambs. Four Weddings And A Funeral, The Usual Suspects and The Thomas Crown Affair and a selection of its television shows including the Spaceballs series.
The MGM feature films and television series will air on SBS’ three TV channels - NET 5, SBS 6 and Veronica. SBS is a division of Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 Group.
