Participant Media has promoted Liana Schwarz to Senior Vice President, Campaign Development & Operations.
John Schreiber, Participant’s Executive Vice President of Social Action and Advocacy, announced the promotion.
Schwarz joined Participant in May 2007 as Vice President, Campaign Development and Operations, and she has worked on advocacy campaigns for films including Jimmy Carter Man From Plains, Chicago 10, Standard Operating Procedure and The Soloist.
Her current projects include The Cove, Casino Jack: United States of Money, and Oceans.
“Liana has proven to be an invaluable asset to Participant — both a charismatic, proactive leader and a generous and conscientious team member,” Schreiber said. “She’s earned a well-deserved reputation for being one of this town’s shining stars at uniquely intersecting entertainment, social action, and advocacy. This promotion is an acknowledgment of the breadth and quality of her work, as well as the rare creative spirit she brings to it.”
Prior to joining Particpant, Schwarz worked with the David Family Foundation, Stop Global Warming Virtual March, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the California Democratic Coordinated Campaign and Schrayer and Associates.
