Screen International is hosting a For Your Consideration screening of Joachim Trier’s The Worst Person In The World on Friday, March 4.
The screening will be available for 24 hours from March 4, 15:00 UK time / 7:00 PT time.
The Norwegian film has earned two Oscar nominations for best international feature and best original screenplay for Trier and co-writer Eskil Vogt, as well as two Bafta nominations for film not in the English language and star Renate Reinsve in the best actress category. Reinsve also won best actress for the film at Cannes, where the film premiered in Competition in 2021.
The film is the third in Trier’s ‘Olso’ trilogy (following Reprise in 2006 and Oslo, August 31st in 2011), and was produced by Thomas Robsahm, Oslo Pictures, MK Productions, Snowglobe, Film i Väst, and B-Reel. It was also named best foreign-language film by the New York Film Critics Circle and made the National Board of Review’s list of top five foreign-language films.
Neon distributed the film in the US, where it recently passed $1m at the box office.
