Screen International is hosting a For Your Consideration screening of Oscar best documentary nominee Attica on Friday, March 18.
The screening will be available for 24 hours from March 18, 15:00 UK time / 7:00 PT time.
Directed by Stanley Nelson and Traci A Curry, Attica is an archive- and interview-based account of the 1971 uprising at the Attica Correctional Facility in upstate New York. The violent five-day stand-off between law enforcement and its mostly Black and Latino inmates brought the issue of prison reform into the national consciousness.
The title debuted at Toronto ahead of its Showtime Networks premiere in November. Veteran documentarian Nelson is a three-time Emmy winner and earned his first Oscar nomination for the film.
