UK regional screen agency Screen South has launched a new $93,000 (£60,000) fund, Digital Inventions, which aims to offer support to film led projects embracing new technology.
Individual awards of up to $15,000 (£10,000) will be available to projects based around fiction, documentary, animation, exhibition, interactive, archives or new distribution film content models.
The ideas must be, according to the agency which covers the South East region of the UK, must be “inventive and not rely solely on traditional models of filmmaking,” with an emphasis on projects that have “potential collaboration opportunities with European partners in the North Sea region.”
The deadline for entries is Feb 7, 2011.
