Screen International is partnering with India’s National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) for the second year to publish dailies at annual co-production market Film Bazaar (Nov 21-24).
Several films which are screening in Toronto’s on-going “City to City” focus on Mumbai have participated in past editions of Film Bazaar, including Anand Gandhi’s Ship Of Theseus, Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai, Manjeet Singh’s Mumbai’s King and Ashim Ahluwalia’s Miss Lovely.
In addition to the co-production market for South Asian projects, Film Bazaar features a Screenwriters Lab, Work-in-Progress section, seminars, industry screenings and the PRIMEXCHANGE workshop for Indo-European projects. The market takes place at the Marriott Resort in Goa.
Screen published dailies for the first time at Film Bazaar 2011. As last year, Screen will publish the dailies in partnership with the NFDC and Liz Shackleton’s Hong Kong-based Chime Consulting.
