Fox Searchlighthas acquired North American, Latin American, French, Italian and Japaneserights to Ol Parker's directorial debut romantic comedy Imagine Me & You (working title, formerly Click).
The picture willreceive its world premiere in the Special Presentations section of Toronto on Sept 9 and opens across North America on Feb 10 2006. Focus Features is handling sales in the rest of the world.
The movie is aBBC Films presentation of a Cougar Films, Fragile Films, and X Filmeco-production, in association with Focus, Minotaur Film Partnership No.3, RTLand Filmstiftung NTW. It shot at the UK's Ealing Studios.
Based onParker's screenplay, Imagine Me & You follows a woman whose love life takes a U-turn when shespots an unexpected guest on her wedding day.
Piper Perabo,Lena Headey, Matthew Goode, and Anthony Head star, and Sophie Balhetchet,Barnaby Thompson, and Andro Steinborn served as producers.
Fox Searchlightexecutive vice president Joseph De Marco and senior vice president ofacquisitions Tony Safford negotiated the deal with Film Sales Company presidentAndrew Herwitz and Thompson of Fragile Films.
Parker previously wrote thescreenplay to the 2000 crime caper It Was An Accident starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton and MaxBeesley.
