The world premiere of Tomer Almagor’s 9 Full Moons at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) on Thursday [6] is expected to be among the highlights of Premieres Week.
Amy Seimetz, Bret Roberts, Donal Logue, Harry Dean Stanton and Dale Dickey are among the cast on the love story [pictured] set against the hipster music scene of southern California. Medialuna handles international sales and the producers expect to announce a US deal in due course.
Fourteen out of the festival’s 62 world, North American and US premieres screen in Premieres Week along with 38 other entries from the 272-strong selection.
World premieres include the comedy Clutter starring Carol Kane, AIDS drama Test from director Chris Mason Johnson and Riley Morton’s marijuana documentary Evergreen: The Road To Legalization In Washington.
The North American premiere of The Bling Ring, Sofia Coppola’s recent Un Certain Regard opening night film in Cannes, will close SIFF on Sunday [9]. Festival top brass will announce the winners of the Golden Space Needles on the day.
The festival kicked off on May 16 and runs until Jun 9.
