Swedish major SF Bio will be giving new filmmaking talent a chance to have their short films screened in cinemas across the country from this autumn.
"We want to point attention to these great films, which might not be seen otherwise," says Sture Johansson, SF-Bio. "The audience won't have to pay as much to see a collection of shorts as they do for the features, but we hope this will help them get acquainted with the new talents."
The project will be trialled for one year. Among the films selected for the first compilation are Baker Karim's award-winning Malcolm produced by Memfis Film, which screens in Cannes' Critics' Week.
