Korea’s CJ E&M has sold North American home entertainment rights to 3D creature feature Sector 7 and action adventure Quick to Santa Monica-based Shout! Factory.
Shout! Factory has rights for all packaged media (DVD/Blu-ray) home entertainment releases and digital distribution in the US and Canada.
The deal was negotiated by Shout! Factory’s founding partners Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos, and CJ E&M America CEO Joon Choi.
Directed by Kim Ji-Hoon, Sector 7 is about a viral monster that infiltrates a ship through its drilling pipe and feeds on crew members to survive. Quick is a motorbike action adventure from the producers of Haeundae (Tidal Wave).
“We look forward to bringing these films to North American movie fans and reaching new audiences through upcoming physical and digital releases,” said Shout! Factory’s founding partners.
