Media Development Authority will invest up to $3.9m in each selected film.
The Media Development Authority (MDA) of Singapore is taking submissions for projects to co-invest in with its International Film Fund (IFF). The MDA is looking to invest up to $3.9m (SG$5m) respectively in globally marketable films involving at least one Singapore partner.
Completed films will have the opportunity to premiere at ScreenSingapore. Set to open its first edition June 5 – 12, ScreenSingapore is a week-long cinema event which is made up of a trade show, conferences, master classes, a film awards section and red carpet gala premieres.
Kenneth Tan, director of Film, Animation and Publishing, MDA, said: “The IFF complements our co-production strategy aimed at growing Singapore-made content targeting global audiences. It facilitates collaboration among international creative talents, and the participation of Singapore’s production and post-production facilities in international film productions.”
