Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) has rebranded its A+ Channel as Animax. The dedicated anime channel is available in Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

SPTI also noted that it is in advanced negotiations to launch the channel in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and France.

Animax is already an established brand in Asia and Latin America, and SPTI said it had plans to expand Animax across multiple platforms including mobile and VOD.
