Tough coming-of-age Romaniandrama Rynawon top honours at the 21st edition of Spain's youth-oriented Cinema Jove International FilmFestival (June 17-24).

The jury selected director Ruxandra Zenide's featurefor the Golden Valencian Moon and its $22,612 (Euros18,000) prize for its risk-taking and emotional toughness. The story turnson a young woman looking to escape her tiny village and violent,abusive father.

Emma Tusellwon a special mention for Spanish film LaHabitacion De Elias, about a woman who travels toMorocco in search of her father.

In the short filmcompetition, French director Katell Quillevere took the top prize and $7,538 (Euros 6,000) for A Bras Le Corps. The silver prize wentto Norwegian director Hisham Zaman'sBawke andthe bronze to Swedish director Per Hanefjord's En God Dag.

In the 13th annual, four-dayInternational Short Film Market hosted by Cinema Jove for producers,distributors and exhibitors of short films, AbdelatifAbdesalam took home the market's prize, worth $22,612(Euros 18,000), for his short film Salvador(Historia De Un Milagro Cotidiano) about the March 2004 train bombings in Madrid.

Recipients of tributes thisyear included Steven Spielberg, star of a sidebar which screens films bywell-known directors made before they turned 35; an homage for Stephen Frears; the "Future of Film" prize for up-and-comingSpanish actress Leticia Dolera; and retrospectives ofthe work of Spanish director Gracia Querejeta and French actress VirginieLedoyen.
