SPC negotiated both deals with The Match Factory.
In Waltz With Bashir, Folman, a former Israeli soldier, attempts to make sense of the massacre he witnessed of thousands of Palestinian refugees by Christian Phalangists in Lebanon in 1982.
The Match Factory's Michael Weber said the Sony Pictures Classics team 'share our passion and enthusiasm for both titles.'
SPC co-president Michael Barker called Waltz With Bashir 'one of the great anti-war movies told in a new way, this time with ingenious animation. It is overwhelming.'
O'Horten is a bittersweet tale of a dedicated train engineer who stumbles uneasily into retirement.
'The worlds that Bent Hamer creates are entirely original and we have previously enjoyed them as audience members,' SPC said in a statement. 'It is now our pleasure to be able to bring his most accomplished film, a work of warmth, wit and hilarity to audiences across the country.'
