The filmmaker has got his weight behind the inaugural 2014 New Hollywood (NUHO) Online Film Festival.

Lee will help launch the event on February 7 with a keynote address.

NUHO’s founders Keith Mitchell and Chris Kanik say the event will deliver the full festival experience via its web-based platform.

The festival is set up to allow audiences to view films while granting filmmakers access to agents, distributors and other industry professionals.

NUHO films only screen during the festival so as not to cannibalise potential revenues steams for distributors. The festival runs until February 28.
