The as-yet-untitled film, produced by Shangri-La Entertainment and unveiled at the beginning of the EFM, has already been snapped up by the UK's Contender, South Africa's Nu Metro, Portugal's Lusomundo, Iceland's Samfilms and RCV for the Benelux. Fortissimo is also fielding offers from 11 other territories, including Japan, France, Italy, Germany and Spain.
Fortissimo - which is selling Berlin opening film Shine A Light, also directed by Scorsese and produced by Shangri-La - has had a busy market, starting with mop-up sales on Shine A Light and continuing with deals on the Marley doc; documentary feature CSNY: Dejà Vu and the re-mastered version of Gregg Araki's The Living End.
'This will be our best Berlin ever if we close all the deals we have on the table,' said Fortissimo co-chairman Michael Werner.
CSNY: Dejà Vu - filmed around Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's 2007 Freedom Of Speech tour - has been sold to the UK's Metrodome, Madman for Australia/NZ, RCV for Benelux, Italy's Metacinema, South Africa's Nu Metro and Lusomundo for Portugal.
Shine A Light has also gone to South Africa's Nu Metro and Gulf for the Middle East, following a sale to India's Palador Pictures earlier in the market.
Palador has also acquired Tim Hamilton's comedy Mama's Boy, which Warner Independent Pictures has in the US, while Korean rights have gone to Megabox. The Living End has gone to Lusomundo for Portugal.
Fortissimo is also expecting to close deals on Forum title Son Of A Lion and Panorama Special title Sleep Dealer, which are screening later in the festival, before the end of the market.
