Pyramide International has announced the addition of Critics Week title Snow to its line-up for the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. The film is directed by Aida Bejic and focuses on residents of a small village whose lives are disrupted by visiting businessmen just before a storm hits.
Also on the slate of films in selection are Nuri Bilge Ceylan's Three Monkeys in official competition and Salt Of This Sea by Annemarie Jacir in Un Certain Regard.
Further, Pyramide boasts the special screening title It's Tough To Be Loved By Jerks about the trial of Philippe Val, the editor-in-chief of French satirical political paper Charlie Hebdo, who was taken to task for publishing caricatures of Mohammed which originally appeared in a Danish newspaper. The film is directed by Daniel Leconte.
In the market, Pyramide's new films include Born In 68 by Olivier Ducastel and Jacques Martineau, who had great success with 2005's Crustaces Et Coquillages and Made In Italy from director Stephane Giusti.
More titles will soon be forthcoming.
