Samuels is currently developing The Amazing Labours of Arthur Glass with Film4.
This marks the second year that UK training body Skillset has partnered with TIFF's Talent Lab. UK applicants submitted one-minute clips from projects, which were then judged by UK industry experts including Skillset's Janine Marmot; Lenny Crooks, Sally Caplan and Chris Collins of the UK Film Council; and producers Marc Boothe, Arit Eminue and Andrew Hinton.
Marmot said: 'The Toronto International Film Festival is one of the most highly acclaimed on the international circuit and I am pleased that Skillset is able to continue working with them on such an innovative programme as Talent Lab. Last year's UK participants found the Talent Lab an incredible experience, and I'm confident that the Lab will offer Juliet and Robert remarkable opportunities.'
Confirmed guests at this year's Talent Lab include Brian De Palma, Samira Makhmalbaf, Deepa Mehta, Atom Egoyan, Ed Harris, Bingham Ray, and Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne.
