The US deal was brokered by The Works International head Joy Wong with IFC's Arianna Bocco and Elizabeth Nastro.
The UK deal was negotiated between producers Arvind Ethan David and Judy Counihan of Slingshot and Rupert Preston of Vertigo Films.
IFC plans a late January 2009 launch, while Vertigo plans to release in spring 2009.
Hugh Bonneville, Anne-Marie Duff, Douglas Henshall, Victoria Hamilton and Eric Cantona star in the cross-cultural romantic comedy shot in London and Paris.
Aschlin Ditta (Scenes Of A Sexual Nature, The Catherine Tate Show) wrote the script, which marks Oudney's feature directorial debut.
The Slingshot production, in association with Met Film & JCF, is also backed by the UK Film Council. Producers are Stewart le Marechal (for Met Film) with Slingshot's Counihan, David and Rachel Connors.
The Works International's slate also includes Rachel Ward's Beautiful Kate, Erik Van Looy's Loft, Sarah Watt's My Year Without Sex, and Kenny Glenaan's Summer, which recently won a Euros 25,000 Alice In The City prize at Rome.
