Dolby has upgraded its Dolby Professional Reference Monitor PRM-4200 to include support for projecrs being shot at 48 frames per second (fps).
The PRM-4200 already supports 60 fps.
Directors including Peter Jackson and James Cameron are both working in 48 fps for their new features.
Dolby and ARRI jointly produced a short film in 48 fps that was showcased at the recent NAB tradeshow in Las Vegas.
The new V4.1 software or the PRM-4200 is available now and new features also include support for the AMPAS ACES workflow.
