Festival Scope adds Indian focus, Sofia festival winners

From the Sofia International Film Festival (March 4-13), Festival Scope is offering Grand Prix winner Shelter by Dragomir Sholev; jury award winner White As Snow by Selim Gunes and America, which won Joao Nuno Pinto the award for best director. Other Sofia titles include Tilt, Silent Sonata, My Brothers, Tilva Rosh and White White World.

Also, Festival Scope is presenting a special Focus on India in collaboration with Film Bazaar and Film India Worldwide. The films on Festival Scope include Ladakh documentary Achtung Baby! by Sanjeev Sivan, I Am Kalam by Nila Madhab Panda and The Well by Umesh V Kulkarni. Each of those films was presented at the 2010 Indian Panorama in Goa.

Other Indian titles on Festival Scope include Berlin Panorama selection Gandu by Kaushik Mukherjee plus Rotterdam selections The Image Threads by Vipin Vijay, Autumn by Aamir Bashir and Jan Villa by Natasha Mendonca.
