London-based post-production facility, Halo has chosen cloud editing system FORscene as its logging and rough cut editing platform.
FORscene developed by Forbidden Technologies, is a hardware independent, web-based system that allows editors location independence and resource sharing.
Forbidden CEO Stephen Streater said, “I am happy to be working with Halo Post on multiple productions, further growing the FORscene user base. The technology integration for this client highlights the flexibility of the FORscene platform and Forbidden’s capacity to adapt to a variety of technologies”.
Halo has begun using FORscene for a number of film and tv productions and has so far ingested over 2,000 hours of media into the system.
Louis Hyde, Head of Technology of Halo, says: “In the few months since we have been using FORscene, our clients have found it to be a useful tool in the offline editing process. With the addition of our ISIS file server we can put even more media through the FORscene system”.
