Harkness Screens has announced that its free, web-based Digital Screen Selector has passed the 1,000 mark for registered users.
Accessible via the Harkness website (http://www.harkness-screens.com), the Digital Screen Selector allows theatre operators to input the type of material to be screened, the required size of the image and the projector used. The selector then offers screen options, with the aim of reducing cost and increasing efficiency for exhibitors.
“We are really excited that the Digital Screen Selector continues to prove such a popular tool for the industry since its launch a little over two years ago,” said Richard Mitchell, Worldwide Marketing Manager at Harkness, “We created the Selector to identify cost-effective solutions for digital cinema conversion and encourage theatre operators throughout the world to utilise the insights the application provides. We believe the Digital Screen Selector is still very much achieving this aim and the rate of growth of the user base strongly suggests so. It’s clear that these types of applications are of significant value and we’ll continue to look at ways to further enhance the Digital Screen Selector and develop other tools to assist cinema operators across the globe over the coming years.”
Founded in 1929, Harkness is the world’s largest manufacturer of projection surfaces. Headquartered in Ireland, the company also has offices and factories in the USA, UK, France and China.
