Film subscription service Lovefilm has partnered with UK distributor Momentum to offer members a catalogue of Momentum’s titles via internet enabled devices.
The deal, which ensures Lovefilm a first look among VOD services, includes the Millenium trilogy - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.
The new titles, which will be exclusive to Lovefilm for one year, include 30 new films available to watch as part of members’ subscriptions, as well as titles from Momentum Pictures’ back catalogue such as Dorian Gray,44 Inch Chest and Brooklyn’s Finest.
Simon Calver, CEO of Lovefilm, said: “We successfully launched Lovefilm on the PS3 last week. These new, never-been-seen-before on subscription TV titles will drive growth on that new service in the heart of the living room.”
Lovefilm has over 1.4m members in UK, Germany and Scandinavia. The Lovefilm Player launched in March 2010 with digital titles available for members to watch on their TV, PC or PlayStation 3.
