The streaming giant will extend its reach in early 2016 into South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
CEO Reed Hastings said on Tuesday: “The combination of increasing internet speeds and ubiquity of connected devices provides consumers with the anytime, anywhere ability to enjoy their favourite TV shows and movies on the Netflix service. These four markets well represent those trends.”
Netflix launched in Japan recently and has made it clear it aims to be in every country by next year.
The company recently announced it was pulling the plug at the end of September on its deal with Epix, which will reduce its offerings as it focuses on original content.
The parties signed the deal in 2010 and it became non-exclusive two years later.
Hulu has stepped into the breach and will kick off its multi-year deal with Epix on October 1. The Epix stable culls content from Lionsgate, Paramount and MGM and includes the Hunger Games series.
