Prime Focus World, global provider of visual effects, 2D to 3D conversion, and animation services, has announced the appointment of Zenith Equity Partners founder Massoud Entekhabi as Global Chief Financial Officer.
Massoud Entekhabi had been a board member of Prime Focus World for nine months before the announcement. Prior to his founding Zenith Equity Partners, Entekhabi had been a general partner and Managing Director of venture capital firm TL Ventures, and before that spent 27 years with Coopers & Lybrand LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He is currently on the Board Of Directors of a number of companies across several industries.
Prime Focus CEO Namit Malhotra said, in his announcement last week, “I am pleased to welcome Massoud to my executive team, his strategic background and capabilities are among the best in the industry. Prime Focus stands to greatly benefit from his world-class expertise and knowledge of the global marketplace during a key, exciting time in the company’s growth cycle.”
Entekhabi said of his new position, “As a board member, I have had the opportunity to witness the amazing and talented people of Prime Focus at work. I am delighted to join the management team and look forward to contributing and further cementing our position as a leading global technology services company providing platform solutions and specialized services to the film, broadcast and advertising industries.”
Prime Focus World’s 3D work has included Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the 3D re-release of The Phantom Menace, and Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader and the company has contributed visual effects to such major films as Avatar, the Twilight and X-Men franchises, and Terence Malick’s Palme d’Or winning Tree of Life.
