Top brass at the trinidad+tobago film festival (ttff) have entered into an exclusive VOD deal with leading Caribbean region cable television and telecommunications company Flow.
The move enables ttff to extend its brand and guarantee filmmakers with a guaranteed distribution platform throughout Trinidad and Tobago, Curaçao, Barbados, Grenada and Jamaica.
Flow offers subscribers a one-month window to see select films from the ttff once the festival ends on October 1.
One hundred per cent of the profits derived from VOD purchases will go to the filmmakers.
“Flow has been a tremendous supporter of the trinidad+tobago film festival, and has demonstrated their commitment to the development of the local and regional film industry by signing on as presenting sponsor for another three years,” said ttff’s external relations director Nneka Luke.
“With this continued support, and the offer of Video on Demand as a viable platform for distribution and visibility for local films, it’s a significant step forward in the growth of our film industry. These are exciting times for film in T&T and in the Caribbean region.”
