Vice and Grolsch Filmworks' The Fourth Dimension launches on YouTube

Val Kilmer stars in three-part portmanteau feature.

The Fourth Dimension will have its free digital premiere on YouTube starting today.

The project is described as “an experimental portmanteau feature” and is comprised of three parts.

The directors are Harmony Korine from the US, Russia’s Alexsei Fedorchenko and Polish-born Jan Kwiecinski. Korine’s part stars Val Kilmer as a motivational speaker in Nashville, Tennessee; Fedorchenko’s project is about a reclusive time traveller; and Kwiecinski’s chapter is about young people in an abandoned town.

It marks the first feature film to be released on the VICE YouTube channel as part of YouTube’s new premium content channels.

The film has screened at more than 30 festivals including San Francisco, Tribeca and Edinburgh.

The YouTube release also includes behind-the-scenes footage with Harmony Korine, Alexsei Fedorchenko, Jan Kwiecinski, and Val Kilmer.

Grolsch Film Works and Vice Films partnered on the film. Vice’s executive creative director set out the brief for the three directors to explore the notion of a ‘fourth dimension.’
